The Hyderabad police on Tuesday registered a case against noted rationalist and Bigg Boss Telugu 2 contestant, Babu Gogineni on various charges including hurting religious sentiments of people and collecting Aadhar data from participants in events conducted by his organisation.
A citizen called KV Narayana lodged a complaint with the High Court of Hyderabad recently.
The HC directed the Madhapur police to register case under appropriate sections.
Babu is the founder of South Asian Humanist Association. The organisation is conducting an event in Malaysia. According to Narayana, the organisation has been insisting on Aadhar numbers of those seeking to participate in the event from India.

Babu’s men collected the Aadhar numbers of participants in the events held in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Visakhapatnam recently and the data was uploaded on the organisation's website, the petitioner alleged.
Narayana alleged that Babu had made inflammatory comments in one of his speech that is on YouTube. His remarks, the petitioner said, would have adverse impact on India’s foreign policy.
Alleging that Babu’s speeches are instigating hatred and violence towards a community, Narayana demanded obliteration of the videos on social media.
The case may cast its shadow on the Bigg Boss Telugu 2 show, as the police might call him for questioning. Babu does not compromise on his ideals even in the Bigg Boss Show.
