MUMBAI: With a few days to go for the world’s most popular tournament, the FIFA World Cup, Indian media rights holder Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) has chalked out an exhaustive digital telecast plan for the football fans in the country.
SonyLIV, SPN’s OTT platform, will offer the telecast in four languages — English, Hindi, Bengali and Malayalam. With its ‘Match Centre’, SonyLIV will focus on supplementing telecast with data such as live scores, player positions, team information, match stats and commentary.
“Besides the match telecast, we have planned a lot of stuff around FIFA, much more than we have done ever for any sport,” Uday Sodhi, EVP and head of digital business at SPN told ET.
